Word of the Month: Pursue

Dear lovely reader,
It’s mind-boggling to think that there are 4 months left of 2017. 8 months; 243 days have flown by and here we are now. In the past 243 days we have seen the world change for the better and the worse. What have the past 8 months been like for you? A whirlwind of highs which enables you to tick off every goal you wanted to achieve this year? Or lows where you have faced rejection, been left dejected and uncertain of what to think or do next? Or it may have been a mix of both. I don’t know what you have been through since the start of the year till now but I encourage you to set your mind afresh.

A new month, a new season is here with us. It’s not too late to set more goals and achieve the ones you initially had. Pursue. Follow. Chase. Continue along the path started. Create a new path and pursue. God has given everyone a purpose on earth and has filled your heart with desires. When you “take delight in the LORD he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). It’s with these desires that inspire you to set your goals. The goals and dreams you want to pursue is only relevant if it is the will of God’s calling in your life. It is important to seek his face and pray for guidance when setting and following your goals.

You may have started strong and then come across obstacles and stumbling blocks in the past 8 months but it shouldn’t keep you down. Staying down in not an option but rising up again is with God as he will lead you on your journey to reaching your goals. Remember and BE CONFIDENT “that he who began a good work in you will carry it onto completion until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians1:6). Pursuing your goals is difficult, the journey to the top is tiresome but “with a dream comes much activity” (Ecclesiastes 5:3) and perseverance. Please do not give up on your goals and consider restarting in 2018. Keep going, it’s never too late to start again and try. God is with us. He is with YOU. Trust in him for he knows the plans he has for you (Jeremiah 29:11). PRAY into the dreams/goals you have, PURSUE and PERSIST in spite of difficulty that may come your way.

“Dreams come true when you put in the work and believe it is God’s plan for you” – I.S.T.W

Prayer to say: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for creating me for a purpose to live out my goals and dreams with the desires you have put in my heart. I pray that you will give me strength to persevere and wisdom to make the right decisions. In everything I do, my confidence is in you. I say this with much thanksgiving, in Jesus name. Amen.

I say the word PURSUE, PURSUE, PURSUE.

God bless you
