Praise God To Breakthrough – February 2024 Word of The Month

Dear Lovely Reader,

Today, I want to encourage you to praise your way to breakthrough. Praise God to breakthrough.

To praise God means to:

  • Bless (give admiration and adoration) to His name
  • Give Honour to His Character
  • Lift Him Higher
  • Revere and Respect Him
  • Thank Him

Psalm 100:4 tells us

‘Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.’

Let us come to God with hearts full of thanks and gratitude for all we have in our lives, even thanking Him for the things that went south. It is God’s will that we give thanks in everything.

This gets us to the gates (the opening) of His presence, but praise take us to His courts (another step and dimension of His presence).

Praise is so powerful as we are lifting God above everything – yes everything. As we lift Him and His name high, our faith rises and fear disappears.

The origin of the word ‘Praise’ is ‘to value, to prize’ something or someone.

We all know that a prize is given to someone whose a winner, overcomes all, outstands all and is the best. Isn’t this who our God is?!

We see many moments of the power of praise throughout scripture.

Some examples are: (recommend you read 😊)

King Jehoshaphat defeats the Ammonites and Moabites

Paul and Silas break free from prison

LOOK AT THE BREAKTHROUGH!

Not just breakthrough for God’s people but more importantly breakthrough of His Power, Might and Mercy over the devil and every evil/negative judgement or situation.

This is what our praise from sincere hearts can do.  We praise Him by continuing to rejoice in Him, singing songs to Him, Worshiping Him in Spirit and Truth, Shouting unto Him with a voice of triumph and declaring His wonders to the seen and unseen realms.

There is POWER in our PRAISE to God. He is lifted above everything and since He who is in us is greater than the one in the world, we too are lifted above everything by His presence.

Amen.
