Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this season of joy! A time where we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our LORD. Thank you lord that you sent your son, Jesus “Our wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6) to earth to redeem us. A time where loved ones near and far come together! Christmas is most importantly the time we commemorate the TRUE and ONLY reason for the season- The birth of the Christ child. Through him your love for us was shown to all the world. Throughout Jesus’ life we understood and learnt the true way of life that is pleasing to God. Help us Lord not to get caught up in associating this day only with presents and merry making. Let us celebrate this day and be thankful for the greatest gift of all – Jesus. Jesus(the image of the invisible God) was born that mankind would not die but live forever through accepting him as LORD and SAVIOR.
Lord we are grateful that through your son we are redeemed, made whole and are righteous in your sight by believing in him. Thank you for this joyous day that has been celebrated for thousands and thousands of years.
With one more sleep to Christmas day, I pray and hope that Joy will fill each of your hearts. At the same time, I know that this is and will be a hard day for many people around the world. A day of sadness, loneliness and grief. This Christmas eve and day, let us make time to reflect for those who may not be as fortunate as us. Light a candle, have a moment of silence, say a prayer.
If you can, please reach out to someone who you know is going through a difficult time. A neighbour, a friend or a family member you may have not spoken to in years. You never know what impact you could have on such a person. Tis the season to receive but more importantly to give. Giving someone, your time and elevating words is a simple yet priceless gift.
If your reading this and going through a tough period in your life, I pray that the God of peace, hope and love will meet you where you’re at. May He uplift you from your troubles and bless you.
You’ve read all the way to here, THANK YOU! You may have never heard of Jesus, or maybe you have and are wondering if all this stuff about him is true.
For me he is very real, not only do I feel his overwhelming love and grace each day but in times of stress and trouble he has provided and guided me over and over again.
This Christmas, I encourage you to invite Jesus into your heart and life. Ask him with a believing heart for forgiveness of your sins and confess that you believe he died for your sins, resurrected from the dead and is alive. You honestly have nothing to lose. Jesus will hear your prayer and is waiting with arms wide open to receive you 😊
Thank you for reading my Christmas message/prayer. Please do share this with others 😊
Lastly, I want to wish you a peaceful and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
God bless you
